Here are two perfect examples of how MoDOT ruins public confidence. In both cases, they spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on road projects, only to find out afterwards that the designs were flawed and dangerous. The Odessa project is especially telling, because residents driving by the construction could easily see how dangerous the blind ramp could be – something that escaped the engineers at MoDOT until after it was built.
