Native American tribes are salivating at the prospect of buildling casinos in Wyandotte County and gaining easy access to the lucrative Kansas City market. However, there is a lot of political fighting going on, and one tribe recently opened a rogue casino in trailers across from the KCK City Hall. This is only slightly less bizarre than their earlier threat to build a casino on stilts above an old Indian cemetary. The whole thing seems like a big game of high-stakes chicken, and there serious doubts about whether there is enough room in the market for another casino. The Star has a rundown other whole sordid saga.
