Desegregation case finally ends

After 30+ years and a billion dollars, the Kansas City, MO School District desegregation case is finally over. Federal judge Dean Whipple has ended the case, and the plaintiff’s attorney has decided not to appeal the decision. For the first time in a generation the school district is completely under local control.
