Missouri’s Democrats and Republicans continue their bitter fighting over the state’s budget crisis, but The Temple Report mentions at least one Republican is realizing that we need some more revenue to go along with the devastating $1 billion-plus budget cuts enacted over the last 2-3 years. State Senator John Russell (R-Lebanon) is chair of the Senate’s Appropriations Committee, so his change of heart is very significant.
