Golden Ox closes suddenly

KMBC-TV 9 reports tonight that local institution The Golden Ox steakhouse has closed without notice. Even the employees received no notice that their jobs were ending. Both the original West Bottoms location near Downtown and a suburban branch in Johnson County are now closed. No comment from the owners, and no information on the restaurant’s web site.

Damn, that sucks for the employees. And I never got over there, either.
