@BlogKCThe Star reports that US Representative Karen McCarthy won’t be seeking re-election for her House seat representing most of Jackson County. Former Kansas City mayor Rev. Emmanual Cleaver says he is now considering a run for the seat, with his popularity making him the automatic front-runner.
Update: KMBC-TV9 is reporting that 5th district City Councilmember and former state rep. Terry Riley will also be entering the Democratic primary.
