Kansas Legislature bitch-slapped over school funding

A Shawnee County (Topeka) judge has ruled that Kansas’ school financing formula is unfair and unconstitutional, and blames the Kansas Legislature for failing to fully fund the formula since it was established in 1992. Lawmakers and Governor Sebelius will have until July 1 to revise and fully fund the formula.

State Champs

KC area teams dominated the 2003 Missouri high school football championships. Blue Springs finished an undefeated season for the Class 6 title. Class 5: Park Hill, Class 4: Kearney, Class 3: Harrisonville. In volleyball, O’Hara took prevailed in Class 3 and Holden took the Class 2 title.
