KKFI-FM 90.1 is currently conducting their winter pledge drive. If you aren’t familiar with KKFI, it’s an independent community radio station featuring a diverse array music and news/talk programs from volunteer DJs and hosts. The programming includes many things not heard elsewhere Kansas City, like jazz and blues, tejano, news and talk, gay and lesbian issues, rockabilly, reggae, and much more. It’s the number one place to hear local bands and musicians, and the only place in town where you could start your own radio show. Stop by kkfi.org or call 816-931-3122 and make a pledge to this incredible community asset.
