Matt Blunt enters governor race

Today Secretary of State Matt Blunt formally announced his candidacy for Governor of Missouri. So far there is no other identified challenger for the Republican nomination. This November Blunt will compete against the winner of the Democratic primary, where State Auditor Claire McCaskill is challenging the troubled incumbent governor, Bob Holden.
