Downtown grocery
February 27, 2004 | 1 Comment
Good news for 15,000-plus people living in the metro’s fastest growing neighborhoods. Wish #1 for the exploding Downtown population has long been a full-service grocery store, and now that wish may be close to being fulfilled. Hearne Christopher, Jr. reports on not one but two possible groceries… One in the Crossroads arts district in southern downtown is proposed by a developer from Olathe, of all places. The second one is proposed by City Market produce vendor Phil Piscottia, and would be near 2nd and Missouri in the River Market area.
