The political brawl over spending Jackson County’s COMBAT anti-drug tax continues getting more bizarre, with rumors of FBI and Dept. of Justice investigations, and now bribery. The most recent development involves County Executive Katheryn Shields claiming that county legislator Dan Tarwater was offered bribes by a would-be drug treatment contractor, an allegation that Tarwater now denies.
