Kansas City, MO’s new curbside recycling and trash collection program begins today in 40 neighborhoods across the city. All neighborhoods will be phased in by the end of the year.
- Trash is limited to two bags per household. Extra bags require $1 stickers.
- Unlimited recyclables are collected every other week.
- Recycling bins available for free, residents will receive a voucher when their neighborhood is phased into the program
- Bins and trash stickers available at most Price Chopper and Westlake Ace Hardware stores
- No glass is accepted at the curb, it still has to be taken to the recycling drop-off centers.
