Kansas City is rich in Irish heritage, and St. Patrick’s Day is a huge event here. Several events lead up to the annual downtown parade, one of the biggest in the country with 300,000-plus spectators. Followed by much merry-making in Westport.
March 1-17 – Food Drive – drop off at any Price Chopper grocery store.
March 6 – Pub Crawl benefit for Ozanam – various locations.
March 13 – Snake Saturday parade and festival – Family-friendly parade, carnival, and BBQ competition in North Kansas City.
March 13 – Brookside parade – Family-friendly parade starts at 2:00pm.
March 13 – 26th Annual Westport St. Patrick’s Day Run – 4 mile run and walk, starts at 10:00am.
March 13 – Gaelic Mass – 5:00 pm at Redemptorist Church, Broadway at Linwood in Midtown KCMO.
March 14 – Shawnee parade – Starts at 1:00pm on Johnson Drive.
March 17 – Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Downtown KCMO, along Grand Blvd. from Union Station to 7th Street. Starts at 11:30am at Union Station. Television coverage begins at Noon on KMBC-TV channel 9.
March 17 – Lee’s Summit parade and festival – 6:00-8:00 pm in downtown Lee’s Summit.
