Cheney turns political at Westminster
April 29, 2004 | Comments Off
Days after drawing 200+ protesters in Kansas City, Vice President Dick Cheney turns a prestigious foreign policy address at Westminster College in Fulton, MO into a political speech. In response to the unexpected partisan speech, the college has invited John Kerry to speak there this weekend. Westminster was the site of Winston Churchill’s famous “Iron Curtain” speech, as well as appearances by various foreign dignitaries like Mikhail Gorbachev, Margaret Thatcher, and Lech Walesa.
