Arts Council forming political committee

The Business Journal reports that the Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City is forming a Political Action Committee. The initial focus of the PAC will be passage of the Bistate II proposal for arts and stadium funding. Afterwards the PAC will work to increase public funding of the arts, noting that KC spends $1 per person on the arts, compared with $15 in Denver and St. Louis.
