Bass Pro Shops has flirted with the KC area for at least two years, including glances at Bannister Mall, Blue Ridge Mall, the proposed downtown entertainment district, the Truman Sports Complex, Olathe’s long-coveted arena site, and Independence. KMBC-TV is reporting that Indepmo will get the official nod today at a 9:00 am announcement. The proposed location is the southwest corner of I-70 and I-470/291 Hwy - an area that is already one of the worst traffic clusterfucks in the metro area.
