Broadband in rural Missouri

KC-based Aquila is now running a small pilot test of broadband Internet service over it’s electrical lines in Lee’s Summit, with hopes of eventually offereing the service to it’s rural customers. Aquila owns the former MoPub, which serves much of rural west-central Missouri. Aquila also owns Everest, which currently offers cable television, Internet, and telephone service in Johnson County and south KC.
