Arena competition heating up

A September 30th presentation to the committee selecting architects for the Sprint Center is fast approaching, and competition between the two teams is getting a little nasty. On one hand we have the Downtown Arena Design Team, a coalition of world-famous sports architecture firms based here in Kansas City. On the other hand we have rock star architect Frank Gehry. The latest twist is controversy over whether or not to allow public input to the selection committee, and the implications for Missouri’s strict open meetings law.
