Two leading candidates have emerged in the race to replace Carol Marinovich as Mayor/CEO of KCK and Wyandotte County. Joe Reardon is an attorney and current member of the Unified Government’s Board of Commissioners. He’s also the son of the late three-term KCK mayor Jack Reardon. Rick Rehorn is a Kansas state legislator and carries the endorsement of Mayor Marinovich.
Both candidates are running on similar platforms – continuing the county’s recent momementum, lowering property taxes, and extending economic growth to the inner city.
