North Kansas City is surrounded on all sides by KCMO and is in the shadow of Downtown’s skyscrapers, yet this little industrial town only recently gained access to DSL and cable modems service. Crappy service from SBC and Time Warner cable have prompted the city to look at building its own broadband network that would reach every house and business in town. If all goes well, Northtowners could eventually see $15 phone bills and $25 broadband Internet.
