All eyes on KCK
February 28, 2005 |
Interest in the KCK mayor’s race is high among the region’s political and civic leaders. Movers and shakers are keen to see the county continue the revitalization begun during Carol Marinovich’s era. 44% of the total money raised in the race has come from outside the county, which doesn’t have a big fundraising pool of its own. Many leaders are backing Marinovich’s endorsed candidate, Rick Rehorn. Others are supporting Joe Reardon, son of the late Mayor Jack Reardon. Organized labor is backing Mike Gilstrap.
