They have one of the busiest emergency rooms in Kansas City, yet they gave away $55 Million in free care last year. They make a difference for many people, people who fall through the cracks otherwise. Plus KC has a long tradition of taking care of it's people with medical facilities open to all. I hate taxes but this carries on a civic tradition. I'm all for it. Besides KC Free, Truman Medical Center needs the additional funding.
