I read somewhere that with a $100,000 home and $15,000
car, it would cost an extra $46 per year... you can do the math for your own from there

Besides KC Free, Truman Medical Center needs the additional funding. They have one of the busiest emergency rooms in Kansas City, yet they gave away $55 Million in free care last year. They make a difference for many people, people who fall through the cracks otherwise. Plus KC has a long tradition of taking care of it's people with medical facilities open to all. I hate taxes but this carries on a civic tradition. I'm all for it.

i worked at KC Free last year and can advocate that the commitment and work that those folks do is unbelievable. most of them make pennies and generate enormous resources for a wide variety of people in KC. that place is VITAL and anything we as taxpayers can do to ensure that that place and the others remain functioning is essential to the health of our community.
