Jackson County term limits?

State Senator and former County Legislature Chairman Vic Callahan is striking out again at former enemies in Jackson County. First was blocking a state law allowing bistate participation on the sports complex authority. Now it’s a proposal to impose term limits on the county legislators and executive. The big question is whether the state has authority to override the county charter.

While term limits may be just the thing needed to reign in a chronically corrupt and inept government, it should be the voters responsibility to impose limits.
