The saucer is now a pillow

The Sprint Center’s design continues to evolve as architects work to deliver their high-tech vision on a modest budget. The latest designs give up the angular exterior in favor of a smaller (and cheaper) roof.

    How long before they just tell us that it’s going to be a brick box? What’s the deal with all the glass designs?

    The original idea was to project onto the outside of the glass walls. Things like video of the game inside, sports scores, advertisements, etc.

    yes, good idea. project the game on the outside of the building so that people don’t have to pay for tickets to see it. then this project will go under just like union station is. fabulous.
