Waris case expands

The federal case against former County Executive Bill Waris has expanded. He is already going on trial for lying to a grand jury in order to cover-up some of current County Exec. Katheryn Shields’ alleged cronyism. Now there are allegations that in his current job as lobbyist, Waris attempted to bribe Missouri legislatures to vote for a bill to abolish the residency requirements for the KC and St. Louis police departments. The legislators named in the allegations deny receiving any solicitations.
