Edmonton dominated the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night and the 4-0 margin in Game 6 makes it hard to imagine the Oilers not hoisting hockey's Holy Grail above their heads in less than 48 hours. And it would not come as any shock to see defenseman Chris Pronger, who had another 31-minute night, take the honors for the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.

I agree! The roads are terrible. It's not like they were fine a year or two ago and all the sudden became bad. Why keep giving out more tax money when the roads haven't been getting fixed anyway? I have lived in KCMO until last August. Those streets will swallow a car whole! Now I live in Independence, and they take much better care of the streets.

I think the real question is what the fuck did they do with all the money originally budgeted for the roads? Why do we suddenly need new taxes to fix this? I mean this didn't exactly jump up out of nowhere and bite city hall in the ass now did it? Road money constantly gets funneled off to other projects and we end up with moon craters every 100 yards on every city street except the boulevards which somehow alyaws seem to be getting repaved or new curbs/sidewalks and lights. I drive on Ward Parkway every day and they are ALWAYS working on it... The latest project is new stop lights. All this while 75th street is barley driveable between state line and 71 highway.
