    lol that is awesome! too bad the clips are real media… you can’t pay me enough to put that crappy software on my pc.

    Hating on Real? How 1999. If you had tried the software anytime in the last few years you’d know that it’s much more stable and reliable these days.

    Hardly. Real Player software is invasive. It changes settings and eats resources… YES even the newest one. Maybe the constantly flashing icon in your task bar is ok with you but it has no place on my computer. If that’s not enough, Real player has spyware/adware in it. What kind of idiot puts that on their pc? If you must see real media you can use this-

    Mostly it’s not necessary because real websites don’t use real media.

    Jason, if you take the time to go through the install carefully, you can avoid RealPlayer taking over any of your settings or media associations. I haven’t seen the flashing icon in years. I just tell it to go away and it does.

    While it’s certainly not the best piece of software, this weird jihad against it seems really irrational. It seems odd that there is this group that takes delight in getting in a dig against RealPlayer even in the most unrelated forums.

    ‘This group’ = Knowlegable pc users everywhere?

    Why should i have to uncheck tons of boxes when installing software? If you miss just one look out cause here comes the ads/spam/search bars/BHO etc. Real is an unscrupulous company with obnoxious poorly written software. It sucks as a media player. You don’t have to listen to my opinion but how about this former Real employees take?-
