New developments in the ongoing campaign against Downtown street vendors. First the city tightened restrictions around the convention center, now they are doing the same around City Hall – where vendors compete against fast-food restaurants in the city-owned parking garage at 11th and Oak. The Downtown Neighborhood Association is calling for new regulations to ensure street vendors remain on the scene and for a rationalization of the current mess of ordinances regulating vendors.
