The Star covers the Pitch’s made up shit hoax from Wednesday, which was a reaction to Governor Blunt’s order to fly the Confederate flag at a veterans cemetary last month. Sounds like west coast import Tony Ortega was shocked and befuddled to learn that rebel sympathies persist in border states like Missouri.

Not one mention of Heidi, who was the first to uncover the fake story. Damn, it’s so clear that they used her work as a resource. Sad. Still, blogging rules, readers of local blogs had all this info yesterday.
I’ll be giving Heidi credit, you can be sure.
TKC, thanks, but I don’t see anything in the Star story that they would have gotten from my post that they wouldn’t have been able to think of on their own. It, um…wasn’t that hard. I was getting frustrated when I saw discussion on kcskyscrapers.com that night belaboring something that I thought should have been obvious or if not, very easily discredited in any number of ways. So I’m not exactly losing sleep about getting “credit.”
