One of the city’s best journalists is back on the scene and blogging. Dave Helling is the former political reporter and anchor at KCTV 5 whose journalistic reputation was starting to take a hit by that station’s slide into sleaze TV. After Joe Miller, Helling is only the second “mainstream” KC journalist to enter the blogosphere. It will be interesting to watch him use the new outlet and see if he keeps it up after his non-compete clause allows him to get back in front of the camera.

I don’t think there are only two “mainstream” journalists blogging here…the Star has had at least two people blogging for a little while: Bill Tammeus and Doug Worgul. Don’t know about any others though.
I think Dave Helling tells it like it is in the daily functions of the people, city, the counsil and other happenings in our area.I think his Blog will be the best.
