License Bureau mess continues

The Downtown office of the Missouri License Bureau remains closed while Governor Blunt searches for a new politcal patron to take it over. It’s the last of the state-owned offices to be handed over to private contractors, most of which are also major Blunt campaign contributors.

However, this is not a Democratic or Republican issue, it’s a problem for all of KC. The office’s closure leaves the state’s largest city with no locations in its city limits. The 450,000 residents of KC now have to travel to the suburbs to find a fee office, while the 300,000 people in St. Louis can choose from 3 different offices in their city…
