@BlogKCMidtown is getting another much-needed late night food outlet. The Grotto Deli at Westport Road and Wyoming Street has closed for renovation and will re-open shortly as Munchiez. Their hours will be 4:20 p.m. to 4:20 a.m.

Now is this gonna be a with a trendy, artsy fartsy vibe that keeps the Black people away with bad music and servers with stupid tattoos? Because the only reason that Chubby’s isn’t doing better business is because the Black peeps in this town have taken up the hobby of shooting each other after a late night snack in front of what was once one of the most fun post-3 a.m. hangouts in the city. In other words, Chubby’s seems to be going broke because of their clientele. The Grotto Deli is up the road a little bit but probably seems like it will cater to the frou-frou crowd.
MMunchiez (if you seen the girls who run it, should be called Muncherz). Hopefully, it will be better than the horrible Grotto Deli, which offered expensive slap-together cold sandwiches. They won’t be open late…the 4:20 to 4:20 thing was an obvious joke. As for Chubby’s, I don’t think the horrible food is helping their business either.
ahhhh, I get it. The best time to get high. Nice. But twinkies are way better than deli or restaurant food when it comes to getting high. Or so I’ve heard.
This is the son of the owner. The Vibe is everyones welcome. The crowd so far is college aged kids, it’s not like a restaraunt but more like goin to your best friends living room and hanging out, eating some good food. The Food is killer. Feel free to come say hi anytime. AND yes we ARE i REPEAT ARE open from 4:20pm to 4:20am AND we DELIVER those hours as well. thnx
Funny, I was by there tonight around 7:00 and they were closed. It does say open from 4:20 p.m. to 4:20 a.m. in the window, but that is a joke. And I doubt anyone here is the owner’s son, since it’s owned by two lesbians…

Oops, my fault. I should have remembered that lesbians don’t work on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays.

We visited Munchiez last Saturday night and I was pleasantly surprised.
The LESBIANS (is this really an issue? geez.)
were super friendly and the food is awesome.
