Things sure aren’t looking good for Governor Blunt with three long years left in his first term. He’s already been ranked as the third worst governor in the country and is facing a possible primary challenge from within his own party. Now there are rumors of a poll showing him 13 points behind Attorney General Jay Nixon, one of Blunt’s most likely Democratic challengers in 2008.

Not only does Blunt not deserve a second term but if we want there to be any chance for Missouri to move forward as a state a lot of Republican legislators have to go. I can only hope that the influence of God’s Own Party can be reduced in this state. I’m always so embarrassed to think of Matt Bartle as “my” state senator.

Blunt will never get re-elected as Governor; in fact, I’m sure that a lot of people who foolishly voted for him are having regrets already. I can’t see how his chances will be better after three more years of pissing people off…
