A huge but largely forgotten part of KC’s past is returning this month. The Priests of Pallas was a parade, masked ball, and festival similar to New Orleans’ Marti Gras or St. Louis’ Veiled Prophet. For about 20 years around the turn of the century it was one of the biggest affairs in the Midwest. The tradition is being modestly revived with a masquerade ball at Union Station on October 14th.

I haven’t been up to anything today. I don’t care. I’ve just been staying at home not getting anything done. Basically not much happening right now. Maybe tomorrow. I guess it doesn’t bother me.
