A tale of two governors

Time Magazine just named Kansas’ Kathleen Sebelius as one of the country’s top five governors. Meanwhile, our own Matt Blunt is keeping a firm grasp on his spot as the country’s third worst governor – one spot above Arnold the Governator. It should be an interesting contrast when the two meet early next year at the Sprint campus for their summit on economic development and scientific research in the KC region.

    Wow, talk about sucking!

Baby Blunt barely beats Kentucky Gov. Ernie Fletcher, who, as a precautionary measure, pardoned members of his administration being investigated by a grand jury for cronyism.

Blunt doesn’t even have a corruption scandal under his belt (yet), just his own overwhelming ineptitude.

If we’re lucky, the Naval Reserves will call him up for active duty for the next three years.

Well, when you piss off conservatives by supporting stem cell research, piss off moderates by banning strip clubs and making it impossible to sue companies, and piss off the poor by cutting Medicare and Medicaid, what do you expect?

Is it just me or is Time Magazine blowing smoke in our faces regarding the reason that they chose Gov’r Sebellius as one of the top 5 governors? While I will give her this much: she’s trying to balance the state budget. But a completely balanced budget?

I don’t see evidence of that, especially when the KS Supreme Court conjured a magic number of $140 million for education this past summer. How they came up with that number I’ll never know.

The major peeve I have of Mrs Sebellius: signing a bill into law allowing illegal aliens to pay in-state tuition at state-funded land grant colleges (like KU and K-State).
