Sanders makes it official
December 16, 2005 |
Jackson County Prosecutor Mike Sanders had officially announced his campaign for County Executive. He’s running on his law and order credentials, as well as a pledge to end the acrimony and infighting that have often paralyzed county government over the last 10-15 years. He joins KCMO City Councilman Jim Rowland in the 2006 Democratic primary. Current County Executive Katheryn Shields hasn’t announced her intentions, although she has often mentioned running for mayor of KC in 2007. At the moment, her political future is in question as she faces a federal corruption investigation.

Shields needs to be completely gone from KC politics, and the sooner, the better. She’s got as much chance to be voted mayor as Clay Chastain. Maybe we can pawn her and Waris off on the KS Board of Edumication.
Sanders has been a pitiful prosecutor! For those of us who know and talk with Kansas City’s Police Officers. We know just how poor his performance has been.
We should reach 125 or more murders in the KC area by years end. Criminals walk the streets undaunted by Police efforts to capture them. Because Sanders and the rest of the politicos will not encarcerate them.
More interested in generating revenue from the hard woking stiff who is hurrying to work or had 2 beers on his way home. They turn the repeat offenders loose on the streets to continue their wave of burglaries, robberies, thefts, vandalism and homicide.
Vacant houses throughout the city are the targets of vandals and thieves, while they busy themselves with building giant fishbowls and roofs for crumbling stadiums to increase their political appeal.
Lousy prosecutor worse yet if he gets a promotion!
I agree, Sanders should be unemployed.
