I am excited about this addition to our great city! I know it is a bit early but has anyone heard what type of “shops” will be going in?

That’s exactly right. Not the largest store ever, just a store that’s part of the largest Blockbuster franchise, which happens to be Serendipity Entertainment.

tony, I don’t know if that is a joke or not, but there is a HUGE underground parking garage going in under the west edge. Parking won’t be a problem.

This is the first i have heard of a blockbuster video franchise going in there. Interesting.

Nevertheless, eager to see this thing start taking shape. Should be a good bookend for the west side of the plaza.

this article may help with the serendipity reference. it’s old, but it explains that serendipity is a subsidiary of bernstein-rein and is simply a francisee of blockbuster stores. so after reading the PDF fact sheet on the west edge website, i’m not sure this will be *physically* the largest blockbuster store, but rather a new store by the largest franchisee.

sorry, but when i read that my first question was “why on earth would anyone need the world’s largest blockbuster on the plaza?”… especially when blockbuster is suffering so badly in the marketplace.
