C.S.A.: Confederate States of America is a film by a KU professor that imagines what the country would look like today if the South had won the Civil War and slavery was still legal in the 21st century. The 2004 Sundance film has been shown a few times around town, but it’s just now going into regular release. It debuts here tonight at the Screenland Theater in the Crossroads district.

Congratulations to Rupert Pate for his role in the film. A local professor, and a fine one at that, at Benedictine College.
I wondered what was up with this movie. I’ve had it on my Netflix queue for months and they just say “pending arrival”. I’m glad to get an update on that.
Probably gonna be awhile before it gets to Netflix, since it’s just now going into theaters on wide basis.
