Myra Harper seems to have prevailed in her years-long struggle with the mess of overlapping fiefdoms that dominate the 18th & Vine jazz district.  She’ll be opening her Harper’s 18th & Vine Restaurant in the Lincoln Building this spring.  The new venue will have a heavy focust on local jazz musicians and feature a Sunday jazz brunch.  You can get  sneak peak next week at Harper’s Fat Tuesday bash.

A Sunday jazz brunch place is way damn overdue in this town. Bless the woman…

Does anyone know if this resturant has opened yet? If it has where is it located in the 18th & Vine area?

I know Myra’s food is excellent!!!

Is this place opened? I tried to call to make a reservation, but got an answering machine.

I have been trying to call to get information on the mother’s day gospel brunch. All I got was the answering machine. A message was left and I still have not heard anything from anyone at this restaurant.

You didn’t miss anything Renita - we were 30 minutes late being seated and the food was all but gone. Service was awful, glassware was dirty. Hope this isn’t the standard or they won’t make it a month.

I’ve been there several times and the food was good. Try the Cherrywood Brisket!!!

Not sure when Linda went there; everytime I’ve been it’s been spotless, the staff have been cordial and delightful, and the dishes have been To Die For.

Give it a second try, Linda; everyone else should give it a first try!

Harper’s food is fabulous. It’s so different than anything you’ll find in any other restaurant. It’s a healthy gourmet cooking concept, but the price point is so reasonable that it rivals neighborhood bar and grills.
The atmosphere was beautiful, and there were quite a few people there dining.

I’ve added it to my favs - I’m going to go back again and again!
