Hayes going Downtown?

February 6, 2006 | 1 Comment

Northland institution Hayes Hamburger and Chili might be coming Downtown near the future Power & Light District. A franchisee is considering putting a 24-hour Hayes on the 1500 block of Grand. That prime area of the Crossroads is just across the loop from the Sprint Center arena site and is also slated to house Willies Pool Hall of Columbia and local venues for the Spy Bar and Penthouse Club chains.

However, the Biz Journal notes that the city’s outdated, suburban-style parking rules once again creating barriers to urban redevelopment.

A new 24 hour establishment is a boon for downtown.

Now let’s get those archaic parking restrictions revoked!
