Update 3/1/2006: Channel 4 has now fired Shauna because of her appearance in this film.

The local Internets are a’twitter over a short film starring Shauna Thomas, a new reporter on the morning news at WDAF/Fox 4. It’s not quite the soft porn that some are claiming, just a dark comedy about sex and fantasy.So, in the spirit of cinematic excellence, what local newscasters would you like to see in film? Perhaps Lara Moritz on Casey Curry? Or Larry Moore and Katie Horner? Please, do share ;)

    I am deeply saddened that she lowered herself to the depths of local television news - at Fox, no less. Why would she do such a thing when she had a perfectly respectable career in S&M films? She used to be such a nice young girl…

    It just goes to show you what people will do when they are desperate for a job.

    Seriously though, I just went a watched the video, and it’s not really that big of a deal. I’ve seen sluttier things than this on Fox 4 News.

    It looks like a student film that was made a few years ago, and isn’t any racier than “Desperate Housewives”.

    I know that this country is obsessed with perverts and scandals (which explains KCTV5’s ratings), but everyone needs to calm down…

    I wondered why she left our local Fox 13 news in Utah and I guess I got my answer. That’s okay..I never liked her anyways.

    I would like to know if larry moore really said in chicago,on the air that the iranian hostages would be freed in 3 days without a qualified source in around 1979. Did he get fired for that,if so is that why he came back to KC. I always admired larry and wondered what got in to him to broadcast a report without reliable sources,did he think he could do no wrong or did the power get to him.Thank You Craig F. Haynes
