Weston brewery back in business

The Weston Brewing Company is making beer again, for the first time since 1999. They have an Irish cream ale available at a handful of places, including O’Malley’s, Blayney’s, 12 Baltimore, and Governor Stumpy’s.

Weekend festivities at Union Station

Union Station’s annual Memorial Day event, Celebration at the Station, happens on Saturday and Sunday. Both days feature several different musical acts and food from many local restaurants in the KC Originals organization. It concludes Sunday evening with an outdoor pops concert with KC Symphony and fireworks.

Any else notice the giant billboard being erected at 10 and Locust? It’s right across the street from Ilus Davis Park and just a block from the doors of City Hall. How the hell could someone get a permit to put up a billboard there?
