If I were the billboard company who obtained the required permit from the City, I would be hopping mad. This is our opportunity to explain the term “good faith” (and how about “justice”, while we’re at it) to our renown city officials, who are covering up their stupidity with retroactive laws, hurting regular citizens like you and me.

I read the original article in the business section and it sounded like the city issued this company a permit and as soon as they got pressure from the big developer tried to make it look like the billboard companies fault. My question when I read this was how mad must this billboard company be after they were issued a permit and then the city tries to shut them down.

I am not a big fan of billboards but the bigger concern is how they can change the rules after the fact.

I can’t imagine how the city is going to get out of this one without paying what is due to those involved…..

Great cities need great advertising. The sign at Locust, next to city hall, will be a great way to show people that KC is a big time town with big time advertising. Kudos!

I heard in City Hall that it had been approved to go up just days before a billboard ban was implemented. Apparently there are some pretty unhappy folks
