Mel Solomon seems off to a bungling start in his quest for the fourth district City Council seat. First there was the Brookside St. Patrick’s Day parade where he got caught hiring people to pose as supporters. Then there was the unfortunate “mistake” where an underling registered a campaign web site in such a way that it appeared to be owned by the allegedly-neutral KC Area Development Council.

Now we learn he was kicked out of the Brookside art fair for campaigning inside the artists’ tent. Mel, if you have the money to hire fake supporters, then you should be able afford professional campaign management from someone like Lazarus or NorthStar (and we know you do, with $30,000 in your campaign fund at the moment)

Anyone trying to run in the fourth district is going to have a hard time getting their name out to the all the voters, enough to win. If Aggie Stackhouse decides to run all of the their time will be a complete waste anyhow.

I’ll take that bet Mr. Esping. I don’t feel that my time will be wasted.

I appreciate your enthusiasm and loyalty to your candidate, but how about letting the voters make the decision?

I look forward to a spirited and hard fought campaign.

    Sincerely,

    Mark Forsythe
    Candidate for City Council
