Mayor Barnes’ annual State of the City address is this week…

She’ll also be on the Walt Bodine Show on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. on KCUR-FM 89.3.  Anyone want to call in and ask herroner why funds are being diverted from capital improvements.

    There is 2.5 million dollars going to the Mexican customs facility project in the West Bottoms with an additional $600,000 for sidewalks, etc.. Then add to this the City’s 1.5 million grant request from the Economic Development Administration for the construction of the building.

    Surely some of this money could have been used for our capital improvements.

    I guess the Mexican government needs the money more than we do.
