Hank, I think the 10th is just the same old s***. Four candidates, one of which is a school board member and wife of my state house rep.; one is classic big government Dem who constantly reminisces about his days working for Carnahan; one is head of pro bono services for a name brand legal shop and who has said twice in debates that I've heard that she has the best job in the world because she gets to give away other lawyer's time and money (actually this is great training for politics); and one is a fiscal conservative who is a small business owner and wants to fix the senate with his small business success formula. I tend to be leary of business types who want to run for office. I'm a small business owner and I'm too busy growing the business to consider wasting time in politics

I saw the guy's interview on TKC. He doesn't seem like some of these stick up the you know what types that usually run. I would like to see more though. How come none of the other candidates have done an interview? Are they scared of the big bad bloggers?

I thought there were supposed to be some young up and comers in the Senate 10th? Not one of them has the nerve to be interviewed on a blog?

Thanks for the endorsement Joe. Although I'm going to have to talk to my wife about discussing my reading habits! Couldn't she have said I read something cool like Architectural Digest or Vanity Fair? :-)

Kenny, I appreciate you actually taking the time to really research the candidates. If you live in the 4th District I hope I'll get the chance to earn your vote.

I've met him and talked to him, and I don't think he's full of shit. Several months ago. I had the opporutinity to talk to his wife at a social gathering for over an hour. She said he reads every city auditor's report WORD FOR WORD.

I'm not ready to back this guy this early on but I have to say I am impressed that
1. He runs a real blog and not a portal for boring press releases and
2. He actually seems willing to dig into the bureaucracy that drives me nuts. I've never heard a council candidate (or councilman) talk about details like this guy does. I hope he's not full of shit. Time will tell.

HA! I do not really see that mattering. They never take any action when they do have authority.

I lived in an apartment with average leaking into it. It took code enforcement 2 months before they did anything. Even then all they did was tell them they had to fix it. No fine, no warning, nothing.
