KC Proper – new podcast

September 25, 2006 | 10 Comments

KC ProperKC Proper is a cool new podcast from a couple of local guys.  They have lots of good local music, people, places, blogs, etc.

Best quote so far:

“I know that everyone is secretly thinking, it and let me be the first to say it out loud.  Pirates are lame, Chuck Norris is lame, Andre the Giant is lame, unicorns are lame, and the word lame is fucking lame.”

Not even dead people are above this pointlessly petty commentary. It sounds like prepubescent and ignorant ranting. Why anyone would secretly think one way or another on this list of non-sequiters is lame.

By all reports, Andre the Giant was a wonderful and generous man who lived his life fast due to the affliction from which he suffered that gauranteed him a shortened life. His capacity for food and alcohol is legendary. He rose from peasant farmer to World Superstar.

Chuck Norris shares a similar story and at age 67 looks better than most 40 year olds. (Did you know he once lived in Prairie Village, KS?)

    Jeez!

    In Prairie Village?!

That’s a new one on me. I didn’t know that.

    Derek-

I did not know as much about MR. Norris prior to today. But I felt that I should do some research on the man before I commented upon his character. To do otherwise is lame.

    You don’t get it, Lemming.

That’s an 8th of the joke. The whole point is that those things are all interrelated in that there is a huge portion of people in my age bracket that have just decided that they are cool, for the irony of of it all. And doing that, jumping on an ironic bandwagon, kills the irony and makes it stupid.

Chuck Norris looks like my dad. That’s why I love him. Not because of all the stupid t-shirts. As matter fact, because of the stupid t-shirts, I hate all of it.

You should listen to the broadcast before you presume.
    To do otherwise is lame.

Why do you presume that I have not listened to the podcast?

I found it typical juvenile angst and nonsense. I have no interest in crude, rude and profane mindless jabbering. Sorry.

Then you go that way and I’ll go this way.

But I’ll always treausre our time together.

Sigh. How spelling errors ruin the joke.
    I was just so excited.

Keep your head out of your pants and that won’t happen as often. I’ll continue my way. It has done me well for quite a few years. Where will your oh so cool podast is doing a year from now. Forgotten is my bet. Isn’t podcasting just the latest bandwagon that everyone is jumping upon anyway? Too cool to be cool? Hypocrites are lame.
