Design Week

November 4, 2006 |

This week the KC chapter of the American Institute of Architects is putting on the city’s first ever Design Week.  The week features several events that aim to focus the community on the importance of good design in our booming redevelopment.  Tour local buildings, participate in a panel discussion, attend a mayoral candidate forum.

    My suggestion: They might want to focus on how to effectively use empty space seeing as the “boom” is full of largely empty spaces in the city and nationally the real estate market is cooling off as people are starting to put money into stocks and out of property. But I’m sure the Star knows better than the WSJ so by all means . . . Everyone should keep on speculating.

    Do you have a cogent point, Tony? Go make the suggestions yourself at the scheduled forums. As far as the financial markets go, you know something the Star and the WSJ don’t know? Please enlighten the rest of us.
