Fired Up has news that the Blunt administration has booked a bizarre, anti-psychiatry exhibit into the the state Capitol building next month. It’s sponsored by the pseudo-religious Church of Scientology, a group with a rapid hostility towards modern mental health care. This narrow, extremist agenda has no place on public property.

@BlogKC
Thanks for posting this. The Star’s Buzz Blog reported the Fired Up! Missouri post. I wonder if the actual paper will do the same.
Blunt is a NUT – just like his corrupt father. An embarrasment to the state and the entire midwest.
P.S. I like the Liberty Memorial header at the top of the blog!
This is a joke, right? Aren’t there standards for what can be displayed in the capitol building?
I talked to someone who knows the Blunt family — and this person says the governor’s staff tried to block this exhibit, but that it’s part of a larger cultural exhibit at the museum (and the Scientologists have a lot of lawyers).
Now I want to know the background behind this story…
I emailed the Star about when this story would actually make the print edition. I got a reply, stating it hadn’t made it but they would “try”. Lame.
