One (hopefully) last Shields scandal

With Katheryn Shields’ time as County Executive winding down and her mayoral campaign starting up, yet another scandal hits the news. It seems that Shields has been county staff, including upper management, as her personal chauffeurs. It goes beyond the normal driving for county business and extends to political events, personal shopping, taking her kid to school, and her hairdresser in Parkville (last time I checked Parkville wasn’t even in Jackson County, can’t she find a local business to support?)

It sounds like the idea of Queen Katheryn as Mayor of KC is prompting folks to speak out instead of just letting the 12 year saga fade into the sunset.

    Kevin Kietzman of 810 WHB slammed her highness really good today. Her enemies list is pretty long.

    Two weeks ago she stated they had a $19 million dollar surplus. After the audit they really have a $4.5 million dollar deficit.

    How can you be off $25 million dollars? She’s done a hell of a job.
